Dangerously high temperatures and heat index values are expected throughout the region. Residents are encouraged to take precautions to protect themselves, their families, neighbors, and pets during this period of extreme heat.
Heat Safety Tips:
💧 Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated.
🏠 Spend time in air-conditioned buildings whenever possible.
☀️ Limit outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day.
👕 Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.
👵 Check on elderly neighbors, family members, and others who may be vulnerable to extreme heat.
🚗 Never leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle.
Residents needing relief from the heat may visit the New Britain Township Building during normal business hours to cool off and obtain water if needed.
