From April 25th to April 27th our volunteers staffed a table at Del Val’s A-Day, where we raffled off a rain barrel. The winner, Therese Wescott, is an elementary school teacher who wanted the barrel for her school’s teaching garden. Congratulations to Therese and her students!

On May 3rd the EAC ran a very successful rain barrel workshop. Participating residents went home with a fully fitted barrel ready to attach to their downspouts. Look for another workshop next spring.

May 10th found the EAC tabling at the Bucks County “Growing Greener” event, sponsored by the Penn State Master Watershed Stewards and Bucks County Conservation District. We engaged with the public and members of other EACs and conservation organizations.

On May 19th, the EAC’s gardening group planted the township’s first native pollinator garden in North Branch Park. It will soon be feeding our busy bees and butterflies. Stop by and check it out — just beyond the basketball court.
