The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Chalfont-New Britain Township Joint Sewage Authority will perform pavement restoration next month on New Galena Road and Barry Road in New Britain Township, Bucks County, under a utility improvement project.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, July 10, through Friday, July 14, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, New Galena Road will be closed between Barry Road and Walter Road. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Barry Road, Railroad Avenue, Sunset Avenue, and Route 152 (Main Street; and
- Monday, July 17, through Friday, July 28, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Barry Road will be closed on weekdays between New Galena Road and Railroad Avenue. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Railroad Avenue, Sunset Avenue, Route 152 (Main Street), and New Galena Road.
Local access will be maintained up to the work zones. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.
Chalfont-New Britain Township Joint Sewage Authority will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.

Due to the extended dry spell and higher-than-normal water consumption, we ask all North Wales Water Authority (NWWA) customers to immediately implement water conservation measures in their homes and businesses whenever possible. Thanks to everyone who took part in the Annual Community Shredding and E-Recycle event hosted by New Britain Township, Chalfont Borough, and New Britain Borough on May 6th. PAR Recycle Works reported that we collected 4,412 lbs. of E-waste. Glad to be able to do our part in helping the environment!

NPWA Annual Fire Hydrant Inspection and Flushing Program Scheduled
North Penn Water Authority will be conducting their Annual Fire Hydrant Inspection and Flushing Program beginning in April, 2023.
